Friends of Kings Mountain State Park

Park Manager - Shea Joyner

The Friends of Kings Mountain State Park (FKMSP) is a strong volunteer group which began January 2009. Since that first organizational meeting, the membership has grown. Volunteer work days have resulted in cleared trails after numerous storms, grant funds obtained for improvements in the Apple Road day parking lot, and other related activities, such as building a bridge for the hikers. Join us at our scheduled work days, quarterly meetings, and events. We look forward to working with you and the park rangers in helping them throughout the park as and where needed.

We need your volunteer support to complete two grants that have been funded. There is not a minimum volunteer hour requirement for membership; however, report of volunteer hours will be used to help the FOKMSP qualify for current and future funding.
